Making it yours

What can I customize?

The whole panel: cards, readings, layout, fonts, colors, textures, buttons and dials. Start with a complete theme or design your own in Studio, using included materials or your own pictures.

Can I save and share my designs?

Yes. Save different views and switch between them. Export your shell and dashboard layout to take them to another PC or share them. Images used in an export travel with that file.

Can I use just one card?

Yes. Single card keeps one reading in a compact panel. It starts with FPS, but you can choose another metric. Use it on your desktop or as a transparent overlay.

Can I put stats over my game?

Yes, over windowed and borderless games. Position the Overlay, then lock it so clicks reach your game. Ctrl+Alt+O brings its controls back, and the Windows tray has Unlock overlay / Show controls. For exclusive fullscreen, switch the game to borderless. If a game takes over the shortcut, Alt+Tab out first.

Games, readings and music

Do my games have to be on Steam?

No. BrutalDash also recognizes games outside Steam, and you can add games manually.

Can I add games manually or ignore an app?

Yes. Open Settings → Games & FPS. Choose Add beside a game or enter its .exe name. Choose Ignore for an app you want to skip; Remove restores automatic detection. Finish with Save & Close.

Which readings can I see?

FPS, 1% lows, frame time, CPU and GPU load and temperatures, memory, network activity, supported device batteries and local-AI readings. Available readings depend on your setup.

Device support will keep growing. Have something BrutalDash doesn’t recognize? Opt in through Settings → Help improve BrutalDash to help identify missing support, without an email or ticket. You can also send a support report if you want to contact us directly. Those details help guide the next device integrations and fixes.

It found my game. Where is the FPS?

Return to active gameplay first. If FPS is still missing, open Settings → Games & FPS to check the selected game and use Retry FPS access when offered. You can add the game manually or ignore a launcher there too. Some games restrict frame capture; a support report helps us investigate.

Will it show my device batteries?

Supported headsets, mice and controllers can have their own battery cards. Wake the device and check its connection. If your model is missing, optional hardware sharing helps us identify it and work on broader support.

Can I control my music?

Yes. The themed player shows artwork and track details and offers playback controls from supported Windows players. Available controls depend on the player.

Your purchase

Is there a subscription?

No. The introductory price is US$4.99, paid once. Updates released for your purchased major version are included. A later price increase does not charge existing buyers again.

How do updates work?

BrutalDash checks in the background while you’re online. When an update is available, you choose when to install it. Open Settings → Updates whenever you want to check.

Can I move it to another PC?

Yes. Your purchase covers one active PC at a time, and you can transfer it when you change machines. Export your shell and dashboard layout to bring your design too.

What if it is not for me?

You can request a full refund within 14 days for any reason. Email support@brutalfoundry.com with your receipt.

Your images and privacy

Are my pictures uploaded?

No. Your pictures and custom designs stay on your PC. Pictures are not sent with activation or hardware reports. If you export and share a design, its included images go with that file.

Are reports sent automatically?

Only if you choose to opt in to hardware sharing. It helps us find missing device support and readings. Layout and feature counts are a separate optional choice. Both start off, and you can review a report or turn sharing off in Settings → Help improve BrutalDash.

A support report is different: it saves a local file for you to review and send yourself.
